Welcome to Winter 2010
We are pleased to offer our 2010 Winter Activity Guide. We hope that your family will be able to take advantage of our many programs to get the most out of the coming winter months.
In our continuing effort to better serve you, we are introducing new ActiveNet registration software that will make it even easier to review, select and register for our programs. The new software makes opening an account with us or reestablishing an existing account fast and simple. Please check it out at www.howardcountymd.gov/rap. We are also opening a brand-new recreational facility, the Meadowbrook Athletic Complex in Meadowbrook Park, just across Route 100 from Long Gate Shopping Center. The complex has multiple basketball and volleyball courts and will be available for both drop-in and planned activities. Please look in the Guide for more information. Other projects include the recent rededication of the Huntington Park playground and the start of the first phase of Blandair development this coming spring. We are currently working on our capital budget for the coming fiscal year, which begins in July and welcome your input. We are always interested in ways to improve our service, so please get in touch with us if you have any suggestions. Gary J. Arthur, Director
