Winter Storm Updates:
February 8, 5:30 p.m.
- This is the most severe storm in Howard County history. We appreciate your patience while our crews are working tirelessly to clear county roads. Primary and secondary roads have been plowed, and we are beginning to plow neighborhood roads. Our goal is for all neighborhood roads to be plowed by Monday evening. We are also prioritizing neighborhoods to allow BGE access to repair electrical outages.
- Please check our live snow tracker for updates every 15 minutes on the status of our plows. Live Snow Plow Tracker
- If a plow has caused snow to block your driveway and you need assistance, please ask neighbors, family or friends to help.
- If you have a true emergency, please call 911. For non-emergency but urgent needs, please call 410-313-2900.
- If you plan to do business with the county, please call ahead to ensure the services you need can be provided.
- Public Works will attempt trash pickup on Tuesday if the trucks can access your street.
- Animal Control is closed to the general public. If a citizen has an animal related emergency, such as animal cruelty in progress or an aggressive animal at-large, please contact 911. Please check daily to determine when Animal Control will have public hours.
